The first 3 women to serve in the US Supreme Court; Sandra Day O'Connor, Ruth Bader Ginsburg & Sonia Sotomayor. Justices Ginsburg & O’Connor both born in the 1930's had to overcome extreme gender discrimination & the competing demands of work & family of professional women of those times. Justice Ginsburg, was the first Jewish woman and the second woman to serve on the Court.... She became a strong force and voice for women, the underserved, LGBTQ rights etc.. Both justices paved the way for Justice Sonia Sotomayor, the 3rd confirmed woman and 1st Latina and woman of color to hold this important position who continues to fight for equality in our judicial system. #womenshistorymonth #womenempowerment #womenjustices
