Thank you, Church, for your continued prayer for Vena! She is doing well back in Uganda but is still very cautious as her white blood cell count remains quite low. This photo is of Vena back at Mercy Church sharing her testimony and recounting all that the Lord has done through her cancer journey! We continue to rejoice with her that this sweet family is reunited and that Vena’s health has been restored.

Mark your calendars for February 7th. On February 7th Dave Buck and Andy Middlekauff will begin teaching a Connection Class for all adults called An Overview of the Bible. The details of the Bible make more sense when we understand the big picture. There will also be time for getting to know others at our church. The class will be held in the sanctuary at 9:30 on Sunday mornings. You don’t need to register for the class, just show up.

After our second weekend, Market of Hope giving is at $123,666.50 Thank you for your faithfulness, Church! If you can, please make your donation soon so that we can do our final accounting. We like to send all gifts to their destinations by December but need to account for every chicken before we do. Here is a fun video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F785bcl6wyA

It has now been more than two weeks since Vena’s final round of chemo, and she is slowly recovering but still needs your prayers. Her kids are pictured here after carving their first-ever pumpkin! They were all-in and disappointed not to trick-or-treat. Mama gave a firm no to that request, as in Uganda this is considered a time to practice real witchcraft. We are looking forward to Vena having a great November since radiation doesn’t start until the 30th.

Vena sent her family to LBC this week all dressed for Market of Hope! We wished she was well enough to come, but look forward to that day in the near future. With chemo affects still running rampant, pray for Vena’s white blood cell count, heart rate and neuropathy issues. She can’t wait for this journey to be done!

The LBC stage was adorned with multi-cultural flavor and we loved hearing from Pastor Jeff on behalf of Haiti, Bekah and Dakota Sammons from South Sudan and Pastor Wilfred from Uganda! Go to our YouTube channel to hear from each of them and so much more! There is still plenty of time to give as well either through the mail, one of our drop boxes on Sunday or by using the Online Store. Point your phone camera at the image on the stage and it will take you there!
