We are starting a ***NEW Trauma/PTSD Group*** at LATN just for women! I wanted to let folks know about it! It will be meeting on Tuesday nights from 7pm-9pm biweekly! It is a group meant for women who have gone through childhood abuse, abuse in their adult life, have suffered a violent crime, rape/sexual assault, raised in foster care or with other care givers, have experienced the death of someone to suicide/homicide or other traumatic death, or events that they felt were t...raumatic for them. The group is for women only and it will be limited to 6 participants ONLY! Members will be asked to attend two groups and then if they wish to continue, they will be asked to make a minimum 6 month commitment. Please let anyone you know who has suffered a trauma(s) in their life and are in need of support for it! I will interview them and assess whether it is the right group and the right time in your therapy for this type of group. The group will be a process group, meaning people are there to discuss issues they are working on or are dealing with in their life and issues associated with trauma and post traumatic stress disorder.
