Low-fat cheese, tasty vegetables, and a whole wheat tortilla to hold it all. What could be better than this healthier take on quesadillas?

Si a tus hijos no les gusta comer fruta, intenta cortar las frutas en rodajitas. Es un cambio pequeño pero hace que comer bocadillos saludables sea mucho más fácil.

During a power outage, the use of alternative sources of fuel or electricity for heating, cooling, or cooking can cause carbon monoxide (CO) to build up in a ho...me, garage, or camper and poison the people and animals inside. Therefore, it’s essential to know how to use power generators properly and safely during a power outage. La comida fresca es mejor, pero también hay muchos alimentos congelados o enlatados que son saludables. Los puedes agregar al cualquier comida para hacerla más saludable. Sólo ten cuidado con el sodio.

Cutting raw vegetables into bite-sized chunks makes them MUCH more appealing to small children. Especially when you add some tasty dip to the mix.

Remember, STDs are preventable! Use protection in the form of condoms. There are always free condoms available at Public Health and if you have questions with application or use, we can help with that too! Many #STDs have no symptoms. The only way you can be sure of your status is to Get Yourself Tested. Should I get tested for STDs? You are at risk for STDs if you answer yes to any of these questions: Have you had any type sex without protection? Have you ever had an STD, in...cluding HIV? Have any of your partners had an STD? Have you or any of your partners ever injected drugs? Have you or any of your partners exchanged money or drugs for sex? Is it possible that any of your sex partners in the last 12 months had sex with someone else while they were still in a sexual relationship with you? Call Lassen County Public Health to schedule a free testing appointment, 530-251-8183, or stop by at 1445 Paul Bunyan Road, Suite B. https://go.usa.gov/xsys9 #GYT #STDWeek See more

Did you know? Anyone having sex can get an STD. This STD Awareness Week, know your STD care options and Get Yourself Tested! If you are sexually active, getting tested for STDs is one of the most important things you can do to protect your health! Have an open and honest conversation with your health care provider about your sexual history and STD testing. This will help them understand what STD tests you may need. Studies have shown that many teens don’t talk to their health... care providers about issues of sex and sexuality during their annual health visits, sometimes because they are afraid their parents might find out. If you don’t feel comfortable talking with your regular health care provider about STDs, visit our clinic that provides confidential testing that is free. For more information come in or call Lassen County Public Health 1445 Paul Bunyan Road, Suite B, Susanville, CA 96130, 530-251-8183. https://go.usa.gov/xsysW #GYT #STDWeek See more

DYK? All STDs can be treated & some can be cured. If you or your partner has an STD that can be cured, both of you need to start treatment immediately to avoid getting re-infected. Getting treated right away also can help avoid health problems down the road. A forgotten prescription from your health care provider won’t help make sure to get it filled and take your medication as prescribed. That also means you shouldn’t share your prescription with your partner. Get retested...! It’s common to get some STDs more than once, especially chlamydia and gonorrhea. You should be retested in 3 months even if you and your partner took medicine. The key to prevention is protection! Free condoms are always available at Public Health. For more information come in or call Lassen County Public Health 1445 Paul Bunyan Road, Suite B Susanville, CA 96130, 530-251-8183. Know the facts: https://go.usa.gov/xsysj #GYT #STDWeek See more
