We are looking forward to celebrating with all 2020 Lassen County Graduates virtually on Friday, June 5 at 9:00 p.m. We recognize that this is not your typical Sober Graduation, but we think it will still be a great time. Starting Monday, June 1 through Thursday, June 4, 2020 we will make celebration in a box available at each high school for graduates to pick-up. This will allow for us to celebrate with the same items all in various locations. We have confirmed the one of ou...r special guests for the evening will be actor and comedian, Luke Null. Lucas Elliot Null is an American actor and comedian. He is best known as a cast member on Saturday Night Live during its forty-third season. After leaving SNL, Null began work on an album to be distributed through the comedy label 800 Pound Gorilla. The album is titled Guitar Comic and was released on June 26, 2019. We are sure that you will enjoy Luke's presentation. At the end of our time we will be holding the ever popular Community Prize Giveaway and we will be giving away the grand prize presented by Wheels West of Susanville. You must be present to win! The Lassen County Sheriff’s Office is happy to recognize the graduation of Robert Waltz from the Lassen County Jail High School. Robert is the 50th person to g...raduate from this custody- based high school program. The program is funded by the State of California, through the Lassen Modoc Adult Education Consortium. The program would not be possible without support from the Lassen County Office of Education, Lassen Community College, the Lassen County Board of Supervisors, the program and custody staff of the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office, as well as the Lassen Modoc Adult Education Consortium. Sheriff Growdon was joined by Dr.Marlon Hall, (President- Lassen Community College), Patty Gunderson (Superintendent of Schools), Anne Weaver (Lassen County Office of Education), David Teeter (Lassen County Board of Supervisors), as well as Jennifer Mohr, Captain Carney, and Deputy Demondon of the Sheriff’s Office in recognizing the graduation of Robert Waltz.
