Lariat Lodge

What an interesting day here at Lariat Lodge. If anyone out there is wondering what the heck was going on...we had a film crew here. And by film crew, I mean like 5 producers, a director, and about 50 others. I know our neighbors were fairly stunned by all the vehicles. I mean, the camera car was something to see! So, we had a commercial made at the Lariat Lodge...not a commercial for the Lariat Lodge, but a real, live commercial filmed at the Lariat Lodge. I am sworn to secrecy, so I can't tell you what it's about for a few weeks. Anyway, it was something rather cool to see and the people were super nice. What a way to spice up an otherwise dull Saturday afternoon!

In case you are wondering about the tiger- Her name is Babe. She came here on a winters' night some years ago, while passing through Quincy on her way to the Wildlife Sanctuary in Colorado. She had been raised from a cub by a former actress who had recently moved to Oregon. Apparently, she began escaping into the neighborhood...long story short...she needed a new home. We were told she is doing well and has a boyfriend. She spent the night in her transport trailer next to the pool and we plugged the heater in for her. If you call us in advance, we'll turn on the heater in your room too!
