Severely damaged plaster statue of the Rosa Mystica. Which, in addition to the major reconstruction, needed a completely new (more correct) color scheme. Yes, these 2 are identical even down to the imperfections from the mold in the same spots on both faces. Needed less gold, more white, darker hair, different colors on the bases with new lettering. The base of a plaster statue broken in shipping. Figure out the puzzle pieces, line them up in the order to be glued, glue them, patch them, sand them, prime them and paint them. Easy peasy! No real repair needed on this statue of Our Lady of Medjugorje, just a new paint scheme to warm up the skin tone and sharpen up the colors in the gown and veil. A very pretty piece, but the face and hands were way too pale and sickly looking! Plus the over spray of the other colors all over the place on these mass-produced pieces bothers me. It's always fun to give these pieces a crisp, hand-painted, detailed, careful, paint job. This good Queen Anne leg was completely busted off of this good arm chair. Was able to glue and clamp it back together, along with 2 wood screws, to make a rock solid repair. Plus patching and a sneaky paint job to match the existing wood color. Documented in the before pics from my client are the feet of the culprit who caused the tumble into the chair and the break in the wooden leg.
