Loud, crowded fireworks displays are no fun for pets. While celebrating 4th of July, here are some safety tips for your pets: Put your pets in a safe, escape-proof room or crate during parties and fireworks. Never leave alcoholic drinks unattended where pets can reach them. Always keep matches and lighter fluid out of your pets' reach. Use pet-friendly insect repellants and sunscreens.... Most importantly, keep your pets on their normal diet. Any change can give your pets severe indigestion and diarrhea. Wishing you and your family a Happy & Safe 4th of July holiday !

Wishing everyone a happy and safe Halloween! Trick or Treat ... Here are some tips from the AVMA to help you ensure your pet has a happy and safe Halloween: Keep glow sticks away from pets. Don't dress your pet in a costume unless you know they'll love it. Keep Halloween plants such as pumpkins and corn out of reach. Don't leave pets out in the yard on Halloween. Wear collars and tags. If your dog or cat should escape and become lost, having the proper identification will increase the chances that he or she will be returned. Don't keep lit pumpkins around pets. If you suspect your pet has ingested something toxic, call your veterinarian or ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center at (888)426-4435

Every time I see these kind of posters, I realize those meant a lot of broken hearts. Please call the owner if you see him.

Happy Halloween to everyone! If you plan to take your pets outside for trick or treating with kids, make sure to keep them safe and calm. Bring some water as well as treats for good behavior. Only bring them along if you know they are comfortable being surrounded by kids, people, other animals and perhaps lots of noise. Have fun!

. I'm not used to fixing fractures with pins. Recently, I have had 2 cases that have needed me to. Luckily, they have all recovered nicely. The dogs are all walking fine after their leg surgery.
