Happy New Year! The feedback on the display this season has been great, Thank you everyone so much. It’s a pleasure to be able to put on the show. We have just over one week to continue to enjoy it before it gets put away. May your New Year bring new opportunities.

I’ll be attempting a Live Feed of the Light Show at 11:30 PM, in preparation of the New Year’s Countdown sequence of the traditional Auld Lang Syne, which is setup to begin at 11:59:50 PM with a 10 second countdown. The 10 second countdown will display on the big light tree. Then, the lights will display fireworks amungst the display, followed by color steamers. Between 11.30 and 11:59, I’ll show what is playing and go through the full Thursday schedule, which includes Bang! By AJR. Time permitting, I’ll also include The Mandalorian Theme and a couple other sequences. Happy New Years, from the Langley Family!

UPDATE: Truck is gone. FYI: For anyone deciding to watch the show tonight. A neighbor’s guest decided to park in front of our house. With a big Ford truck. The experience will be deminished a bit till they leave. As a reminder, the show’s last night will be January 9th. There’s still time to enjoy it before I begin putting things away for this season.

As I prepare for next year, I am going to attempt to implement a Jukebox option to the light show. I am hoping to have this feature implemented for the last week of the show (which I am planning to be the first week of 2021). Last year I ended the show the night of January 1st. This season the last night will be January 9, 2021. I am hoping that will give me enough time to test this feature live. You will be able to select the song you would like played. And I believe it will play either after the song that is currently playing or in the event that others have selected songs already, it would play after those selections have finished playing. Once the jukebox selections are done it will presume the regularly scheduled program. My hope is that this feature will help those who may not be able to come often and they will hopefully be able to see a specific part of the show without having to wait for a particular day of the week to see it play. It will also allow you to play songs or recordings you enjoy that I do not have in the daily schedule for whatever reason. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! From the Langley Family
