We are happy to inform you that at this time we are scheduling preventative care ,such as cleanings, as well as standard dental procedures! We hope everyone is staying safe during this time. It has been crazy couple of weeks. Dr. Mahal just got done registering for the California Health Corps taskforce to help our community. If anyone you know needs help with their dental needs, know that we are here for you in these pressing times and we want to make sure that any patient who needs dental help doesnt have to wait in the already crowded ER and urgent care. COVID-19 & Our Office: Update 3/18/20: We would like to thank you all for your patience with the current circumstances at hand with the Novel Coronavirus, COVID-19. We appreciate and your patience and willingness to work with us during this time. As always, our top priority is the health and well-being of our patients, staff, families and the community. ... That being said, we have decided to make the difficult decision to close our practice starting March 18,2020 in compliance with the recommendations of the California Dental Association. We believe that this will allow us to most effectively adhere to Governor Newsom's and the Center for Disease Control's (CDC) directives. As health care professionals, we believe we have a role to play to follow sound, scientific health advisement to limit infections and to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus. If you have a NON-URGENT appointment scheduled with us this or next week, a member of our staff will be contacting you in order to reschedule your appointment. ***There will be an on call doctor in the event of a dental EMERGENCY.* Should you require emergency dental care, please call our office as you normally would and one of our wonderful doctors will be in touch with you.*** Once again we thank everyone for their patience and understanding during this time and we hope that you understand that we have made this decision with the health and well-being of our patients, families, staff and communities in mind. COVID-19 Update: At this time we are taking some extra precautions. -we are condensing our schedule to limit patient to staff contact -we are lowering the amount of appointments per day that we are open to limit patient to patient contact as well. ... We encourage patients to inform us if they are displaying any flu like symptoms. * We are accepting emergency patients* As always we are preforming our disinfection and sterilization protocols issued by OSHA and are operating with increased caution. Coronavirus - Protection in our practice: We would like to assure you that we are keeping up with the latest developments in the current CoronaVirus outbreak and are maintaining our high standards of disinfection and sterilization along with implementing additional protocols to keep all of us safe. Here are some of the precautions we are taking to ensure a safe environment for all of our staff and patients: -Hand-washing: Before touching a patient, after body fluids exposure... and after touching a patient. -Protective equipment- Disposable gloves, lab jackets and protective google and face masks. -Hand instruments- We use high power suction which reduces aerosol generation. -Regular disinfection- All public areas are disinfected regularly throughout the day, and standard disinfection and sterilization for the dental clinic. The operatory rooms are disinfected in between patients and every part that is touched by patients as well as the healthcare providers is going to touch. - Patients are encouraged to let us know beforehand if they have any symptoms of flu and/or have a fever.
