The La Mesa Community Garden is grateful for the many donations to the garden! We have received shovels, a composter, artwork, work on the clubhouse, help with building the garden, paint and a painter, yoga instructor, banners, and more!! Thank you to everyone who has provided donations in one way or the other. Due to complaints about dogs off leash at McArthur park, Animal Control has increased patrols around the area. We know that people love their dogs and want a p...lace for them to run free, play fetch and socialize with other dogs. The City of La Mesa has a designated off-leash dog area at Harry Griffen park for just this reason. Outside of the dog park, dogs must be leashed in all City parks when out for a walk. Off leash dogs are subject to a citation for the owner, so make sure your furry family member is secure. It's the safest way to take your dog out for a stroll, for their health and the health of the environment around them. See more

With temperatures on the rise in La Mesa this weekend, the Adult Enrichment Center will be opening as a Cool Zone. Stop by for a break in the A/C from 12:30 - 4...:30 PM on Friday, September 4 through Sunday September 6. Free public WiFi is available. Due to COVID-19, safety measures will be in place to protect the health of Cool Zone visitors and staff. Anyone entering the Cool Zone will need to have their temperature taken and answer health screening questions. All visitors and staff must also wear face coverings and practice social distancing at all times while inside this public space. Time limits may be in place due to limited capacity.
