ASO sends their love and regards to the friends and family of Jon Mendoza. Jon passed away on June 1st. Jon was a student at LAMC, who was a part of the LAMC theatre family. Jon was an actor for Bob Cucuzza’s shows such as Wildwood, Peter and the Star Catcher, and the Stage and Screen Festival. We send our love to the LAMC theater department, and to the Drama Club. 2 of our students, Brian Zamora and Jackeline Fuentes, represented Los Angeles Mission College at the UCLA CC2PhD Multidisciplinary Research Conference! They were chosen among 21 community college students in the Southern California region to conduct a special research based on their social science major. The program focuses on preparing community college students with social science majors for future PhD programs. They are paired up with mentors from various Universities with a PhD degree. Jackie is also representing ASO as our publications senator! Congratulations, eagles!

The Drama Club is participating in Club Rush, selling $2 Krispy Kreme Donuts to raise money for the Valley Family Center.

The Americorps members is participating for Club Rush bringing distressful, oddly satisfying materials for the students at Los Angeles Mission College.

Dear Class of 2018, ASO will be choosing 20 students who will be graduating this semester for Caps and Gowns along with honor cords.* Submit 250 words or less on why you believe you are eligible for the offer. Make sure you have paid your ASO fee in order to qualify! ASO will be checking....
