This morning R3 assisted with a rescue in Harbison Canyon when a climber had fallen about 15 feet off of a rock face. Units on scene were R3, E17, County fire E24, 4701, Mercy M26 and copter 12. Due to the difficult terrain, the patient was hoisted out by copter 12. The patient was transported to the ER in stable condition. #rescue #lakesidefire #district

Lakeside Engineers and certified driver operators just finished up off-road driver training on our new Type 3 fire engine. The brush engine is a 4 wheel drive Smeal on a Freightliner chassis. Lakeside fire crews made a quick stop on a garage fire this afternoon. The call came in just 12pm in the 11800 block of Walnut Rd. The fire was stopped before extending into the main structure. Recent weather activity kept Lakeside units very busy yesterday with numerous vehicle accidents. Ice was even present on HWY 67 in the early morning hours. Fortunately there were no serious injuries. Drive safe out there!

Crews from Lakeside E3, OES 418 and Chief 4105 continue the fight of containing The Creek Fire. Currently the fire is 302,870 acres and 39% contained. Last Sunday, relief crews were sent up to the fire to relieve initial crews who all made it home safely after 2 weeks on the line.
