Lakeside firefighter/paramedics have been a part of Operation Collaboration along with over 20 other fire agencies in the county. The firefighters have already given thousands of COVID vaccines and continue to do so as more vaccines become available. Look for them around the County and make your appointment. Recent weather activity kept Lakeside units very busy yesterday with numerous vehicle accidents. Ice was even present on HWY 67 in the early morning hours. Fortunately there were no serious injuries. Drive safe out there!

Crews from Lakeside E3, OES 418 and Chief 4105 continue the fight of containing The Creek Fire. Currently the fire is 302,870 acres and 39% contained. Last Sunday, relief crews were sent up to the fire to relieve initial crews who all made it home safely after 2 weeks on the line. Let’s all hope for a safe return for all the fire crews still out on the fire lines. #firefighter #striketeam #lakesidefire #district

Unfortunately, the costs to buy and maintain equipment, invest in training and cover costs for firefighters continue to rise each year and current benefit fee cannot keep up. Visit lakesidefire.org to learn how Measure Y would stabilize finances for years to come without significant cuts to fire and emergency medical services.
