Subject: Polo in Poway this Weekend Hi Polo Friends, The rain came in last evening just as we finished filling divots and dragging one half of the field. Still have the other half to go. The rain and a week off will be refreshing for the field. I'll let you know when it will be open again. It's closed now, even for stick and ball. She's tired. Lakeside Polo Club will have a team in the "Salute to the Wounded Warriors Tournament" in Poway this weekend both Saturday and a Sunday. Steve Geyer, Gabriel Mercado and one other will be wearing our colors, so come out and cheer for them. Opening ceremony with the U.S. Marine Color Guard at 10:30 AM on Saturday. That's their tacked up and on the field time, so get there and into position before that. Also, bring your check book, if you are so inclined, to make a donation to The Semper Fi Fund in support of the Wounded Warriors, and buy a tee shirt while you are at it.
