December 6-January 3rd, 2020 Update (Campground Is closed until further notice due to Governor's Regional Stay at Home Order). All Park Offices are closed. Only entry kiosks are staffed. Please wear a mask and maintain social distancing.... Lake Perris is open daily for Day Use Only. The campground is not open and is closed indefinitely due to the Governor's Regional order. If you have a current camping reservation from December 6th to January 3rd it will be cancelled and you will be refunded your money. You can make reservations for camping for dates past February 4th, but they are subject to cancellation if the regional order is extended. The Good news.....Day Use is still open for single household use. Everything except camping, special events, group picnics, and museum use is open and available. Fishing, boat launch, boating, swimming, biking, hiking, kayaking, floattubing, wind surfing, SUP, and equestrian is still allowed. We are open daily from 6 AM to 8 PM. Bernasconi is open from 7 AM to 7 PM. Water temperature is falling fast with the cool nights and wind during the day. Current water temperature is 58. Marina and Rentals: The Marina has been demolished and we are removing the docks at the Marina to make way for a new concession opportunity. Hopefully this opportunity will be announced this spring. In the meantime, there are no boat or jet ski rentals and there is no marina store.
11-10-20 Update Summer is finally over. No more weekend boat closures. No more long lines to get in the park. This is truly the time of they year to visit the park if you don't like crowds and enjoy a little more space. We are open daily from 6 AM to 8 PM. Bernasconi is open from 7 AM to 7 PM. Water temperature is falling fast with the cool nights and wind during the day. Current water temperature is 67 (It was in the 80's 4 weeks ago) . This weather change also ha...s had a positive impact on the bass fishing. Some good size fish have been caught on shad imitation swimbaits, crankbaits, and top water lures. Find the birds feeding and you will find fish underneath. In addition, some of the bass are moving into shallow water and are pretty active after a summer of most fishing being in 20 feet plus of water. Fall bass fishing is here. Camping: This is still very popular especially with covid and people wanting to stay closer to home. We still have been selling most weekends out for camping. Normally, anytime after Labor Day we would have walk up space available. This is not the case anymore. Please make a reservation at www.reservecalifornia.com Marina and Rentals: The Marina has been demolished and we are removing the docks at the Marina to make way for a new concession opportunity. Hopefully this opportunity will be announced this spring. In the meantime, there are no boat or jet ski rentals and there is no marina store.

Latest Park Information 10-6-20 to 10-11-20 This summer / fall will go down as the busiest we have ever had. In normal years we would only have a few summer weekends where we sold out our campground / boat spaces. Since early June, we have sold out our campground every weekend and went to boat closure usually before 11 AM. Typically after Labor Day everything usually slows down. This is not the case. Even Mid-week we are seeing increased boating and day use activity.... Many are taking their kids to the park after virtual learning sessions. With that said, our lifeguard service is limited since our guards are seasonal employees. The water is cooling off (Currently 77) but if you plan on swimming it is at your own risk so we do not have our towers staffed (We do have some coverage on the weekends) The campground is full this weekend. In the future, if you want to camp you need to make advance reservations for all summer weekends at www.reservecalifornia.com. You can also call 1-800-444-park to make reservations and also inquire for last minute cancellations. All lots are open this weekend. We most likely will sell out to boats around 11:00 AM based upon our past weekends. Once we hit capacity which we will-only re-open at 4:30 PM (If there are trailer spots available). With this in mind if you want to be on the water this weekend, be here early. Also remember that your vessel will be inspected for quagga mussels and any standing water. Please make sure your vessel is clean, drained, and dry. We do not anticipate a day use closure. Vehicles are $10 and vessels are $10. We do not rent boats or jet skis and the marina concession is no longer operating. Bring all food, drinks, ice, and bait in the park. There are no amenities inside the park to purchase these items. All boaters 35 years and younger must have a CA Boating Card to operate a vessel. https://californiaboatercard.com/applynow/ Please read all the rules and regulations at the launch ramp before you boat. The lake gets crowded and everyone needs to know what direction the lake pattern is to avoid an accident. When you arrive at the park, please wear your mask when paying for entry. Be Safe and have FUN!!!!
