Riverside University Health System gets many questions about the numbers behind the COVID risk tiers, so here is a fact sheet showing what's in the numbers. When these numbers go up, the spread of coronavirus is worsening. It will take much more testing--combined with hygiene, social distancing, and facial coverings--to move out of purple to red, so schools can reopen. The county must test 52,500 residents per week to help the county's case rate!
Sham Labanieh, Temescal Canyon HS, is one of our Student of the Month Program honorees for December. Congratulations!
This Halloween, Riverside University Health System recommends festivities that are COVID-safe, such as lower risk online, at home, and car-based activities. See below for tips to keep it safe.
Here's a reminder about the time change effective Sunday 2AM, November 1. Time to "fall back" and set clocks back one hour. It's also a good time to check smoke detector batteries and replace if older than 1 year, too. Might as well change the TV remote batteries while you are at it!
Bryan Romero, Elsinore HS, is one of our Student of the Month Program honorees for December. Congratulations!
LEUSD Distance Learning for all grades has been extended through December 18, 2020. Two important school reopening recommendations will come to the Board of Trustees for consideration on Thursday, October 22, during a Special Meeting at 4:00 p.m. The first is to extend Distance Learning through the end of first semester, Friday, December 18, 2020. The second is for in-person instruction to return Wednesday, January 13, 2021, under a hybrid model. Reopening schools depends on the County of Riverside being in the red tier at the time of reopening. https://www.leusd.k12.ca.us/apps/news/article/1321988
