WELCOME ABOARD, DAVE! On March 1st, we welcomed Dave Cooper as our new Service Manager, overseeing services at Blue Oaks Boat Yard and motor repair at the marina. Dave is a United States Air Force Veteran and brings over 15 years of Service Management experience to our team. He believes in a proactive approach to building relationships with customers, which means taking the time to get to know you and your boat, so you can feel confident in the service you're getting.... Dave is a positive, get-things-done kind of guy and a team player. We're excited to have him on the Suntex Team at Lake Don Pedro Marina!

1. Assists the Dockmasters and other Dockhands in marina related duties such as securing boats to Docks, connecting and monitoring utility services (power, water and telephone), black water pump out, waste disposal and facility sanitation 2. Provides the highest level of customer and guest services, expedites any and all requests from vessels including transport of guests and baggage to and from dockside, delivery of provisions and packages 3. Routinely operates, motor and w...ater vehicles and other various mechanized equipment 4. Carries out routine cleaning duties that meet established quality standards for all marina related operations; insures the recognized standards are maintained and that quality, and delivery commitments are met 5. Assists refueling vessels when required at the fuel dock, ensures safe fueling procedures 6. Maintains a friendly, professional working relationship with co-workers, members, guests and vendors. 7. Cleans restrooms, docks, walkways, equipment and all other areas of the marina 8. Demonstrates safe work habits at all times, including the proper care and use of all tools, equipment, vehicles, hazardous materials, and observes all established health and safety regulations. 9. *Housing and Relocation Offered* DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Start motors and monitor performance for signs of malfunctioning, such as smoke, excessive vibration, or misfiring. Observe equipment in operation to detect potential problems. 2. Document inspection and test results and work performed or to be performed.... 3. Mount motors to boats and operate boats at various speeds on waterways to conduct operational tests 4. Repair engine mechanical equipment, such as power tilts, bilge pumps, or power take-offs. 5. Replace parts, such as gears, magneto points, piston rings, or spark plugs, and reassemble engines. 6. Adjust generators and replace faulty wiring, using hand tools and soldering irons. 7. Inspect and repair or adjust propellers or propeller shafts. a. Inspect mechanical components of vehicles to identify problems. b. Repair defective engines or engine components 8. Disassemble and inspect motors to locate defective parts, using mechanic's hand tools and gauges. a. Inspect mechanical components of vehicles to identify problems. b. Previous Marine Mechanic experience preferred, not required 2. Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment 3. Excellent customer service skills known as someone who goes above and beyond 4. Must have a positive attitude 5. Must have highly effective communication skills and time management skills 6. Must be able to maintain a calm, positive attitude during periods of high activity 7. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 8. Excellent attention to detail. 9. Must be able to pass a background check 10. Basic water safety skills 11. Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions 12. Ability to work under pressure. 13. Must be able to work flexible hours on the needs of the property
