Feeling like crawling into a hole lately? Have I got a great idea for you! We are just a few months away from a global event, the International Year of Cave & Karst will be kicking off for 2021!... We are partnering with caves and organizations that has to do with caves and karst areas. Together, we are going to educate and explore the intriguing underground world. Later in the year, Lake Shasta Caverns will also be hosting the National Caves Association's 2021 convention! Numerous caves from across the US, Bermuda and Barbados will be coming to our area and learn all about the area and our cave system. #caveintoyourcuriosity #IYCK2021

At Lake Shasta Caverns National NATURAL Landmark, we emphasize the importance of exploration and education of our natural environment. Since re-opening under protocols, we have used this similar approach of R.E.S.P.E.C.T. This approach has allowed our guests and employees to remain safe and case free during these times! As our season and crowds wind down, we are still busier than usual this time of year. To ensure that all guests will receive a tour, we do suggest arriving ...at least 30 minutes prior to tour time departure. If enough guests arrive early enough, we may open tours in order to alleviate congestion and easily implement social distancing between households. As we love our guests, we want to pass along this very important message from Visit California. Welcome back! We are open and ready for tours Please use caution if you plan to visit. We do not allow ANY ignition sources on the property. No camping stoves, no smoking, no vaping, etc. Until fires get under control in CA, we are being very particular about this.... Thank you for your understanding and we are looking forward to seeing you out in nature!
