Happy Easter from Laguna and Burnt Rancheria Campgrounds!Everyone get out and enjoy some fresh air!
Laguna and Campgrounds are opening up on Friday the 19th weather permitting! It’s looking good! Burnt Rancheria still has no water until the temps come up above freezing! Fires are permitted and we sell fire wood! Let’s go camping!
Due to the snow and ice we are having to close the campgrounds to camping! Walk in and hiking is still welcome! Thanks for your patience!

While Burnt Rancheria is closed for the season, Laguna is open year round. We have 44 sites open with a small portion open for first come first served. Come check us out between mile markers 26-27 on Sunrise Hwy. Burnt Rancheria will open the first week of April 2021
Burnt Rancheria and Laguna Campgrounds are open. Come on down ! The Cleveland National Forest closure will be lifted starting 10/9/20! However, there are some new closures in effect. Below are the updates on new closures orders and the current status of our recreation sites: Closure Orders in effect:... 02-20-39 Dispersed camping prohibited on the Cleveland National Forest effective from 10/9/20 through 12/31/20 (this excludes developed recreation sites) 02-20-38 Valley Fire Closure effective from 10/10/20 through 10/9/21 (Order will be signed and sent out soon) 20-21 Regional fire restrictions effective from 10/7/20 through 10/15/20. All campfires are prohibited. Propane stoves are only allowed in developed recreation sites. Recreation sites that will remain closed starting 10/9: FS Roads will remain closed (Thing Valley, Pine Creek and Kitchen Creek). Day use recreation on the roads is allowed Group Campgrounds (Horse Heaven, El Prado, Wooded Hill) Horsethief Trailhead Espinosa Trail Corral Canyon OHV Area Kernan Cycle Trail Four Corners Staging Area All trails, campgrounds, and roads within Corral OHV Area
The regional closure order that includes the Cleveland National Forest has been extended until Thursday October 8th. As a result of this closure, we will be keeping all of our campgrounds, trailheads and roads closed through October 8. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Just got word from the US Forest Service that the Regional closure has been extended one week 10/01/2020 5PM. All reservations for Burnt Rancheria and Laguna Campground will be automatically canceled and refunds issued right away. We had both campgrounds shined up real nice :-) Let's stay in touch ... things could change ... you never know. Jim and Teresa Hall

Laguna Campground Update - July 31 is now the expected date to open! Likely it will be first come, first served only to allow for any finishing touches on the renovation. Stay tuned for additional updates as we get closer!
Finally our phone is working again! 619-473-0120. And with permission from the Forest Service to increase our reservable sites, taking a limited number of reservations for July 4th weekend as we did Memorial weekend to help things go smoothly. Minimum 3 night stay. There will still be at least 25 first come, first served sites for walk in.

IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR BURNT RANCHERIA CAMPGROUND! We will be opening Monday, May 18, under strict COVID-19 protocols. Please read ALL of the attached letter carefully before you consider coming to Burnt Rancheria. (Note Laguna Campground still completely closed for renovations.)
Reserve now for June 1 and beyond at recreation.gov. My favorite site - beautiful stonework remains from historic ranch house. And tiny hints of spring. We look forward to safely seeing you soon!
