Crew assigned to an 7 acre fire at Camp Pendleton, the India Fire. Update: Another finger blew out from the impact zone down the road. Night shift on a 200+ acres.

The Laguna Hotshots completed their Critical Refresher and Preparedness Review. The crew is now available nationally.

The crew has completed their Critical Refresher (Field Exercises). These exercises consisted of Line Construction (Brush and Timber), Spot Fire drills and Medical Evacs. Wednesday was our Preparedness Review with our Division Chief. He spent the day reviewing the crew to ensure we meet the Type I status. The crew will go available nationally this Sunday afternoon.

The Crew has been training this week for the 2020 fire season. They covered maps and compass, weather, fire behavior, COVID19, medical and shelter deployment to list just a few topics. Their training will continue again this week out in the field cutting handline and conducting drills for our readiness review..
