A fuel tanker carrying 7,500 gallons of diesel overturned this morning, causing a full closure of the NB5 Freeway c Los Feliz #griffithpark. Wednesday’s 2019 LAX Air Exercise (#AirEx), was a full-scale simulation designed to test Los Angeles International Airport’s readiness to respond to an aircraft accident on the airfield. The simulation portrayed the emergency landing of an aircraft, followed by a fire. The exercise was monitored by professional evaluators and nearly 300 observers on hand to learn from this large-scale training - including observers representing 20 airlines and airport stakeholders, as well a...s representatives of the consulates of 13 nations, including the United Kingdom, Germany, Finland, Greece, Argentina, Austria, Australia, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Kenya, Canada and Brazil.
