Audre Lorde was a black writer, feminist, womanist, librarian, teacher, and civil rights activist, who described herself as a lesbian, mother, warrior, poet. Her poems and prose largely dealt with issues related to civil rights, feminism, and the exploration of black female identity. In this current time we vow and will continue to focus on the Black, Brown, the unheard and overlooked communities. We raise our fist to bring justice for the Black community. To all the young men and women who are frustrated; understand that we are living in the worst of times, where the country that we live has let us down and seems like it does not want you t...o succeed. What you do in these times will bring change. You have to believe it and keep fighting for a better future. We have all been through it all. For some it's not the first, second or third time. We are fighting so many wars. Wars with the virus. War for prosperity. A War with Peace. A war of Life and not knowing if you are going to be here tomorrow. We are with you. We understand. We are upset too. We are here to support and help elevate you to follow your dream and build a life of fairness and equal opportunity. We encourage you all to start conversations, use your platforms, create and collaborate, and talk to each other, figure out a plan and let's put an end to a system by any means necessary.
