The COVID vaccine is safe and effective in lowering the chance of death and severe illness from COVID-19. Vaccinations are free, no insurance is necessary, and are available to all Los Angeles County residents, regardless of immigration status. If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, you can sign up for a free COVID test here: coronavirus.lacity.org/testing. You are not eligible for a vaccine unless you are symptom-free. If you have tested positive, you should wait 90 days from the date of the positive test to receive the vaccine. Please consult your healthcare provider if you have further questions.
