Good morning everyone! One of our crew recently welcomed a new life into the world, but with medical complications they’ve had to take their newborn daughter down to the UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento and she remains in critical condition. They have set up a GoFundMe to help them cover the expenses necessary for them to remain in Sacramento with their daughter, and we would like to try to help them out by spreading the word to anyone in a position to give them aid. We realize how tight things are financially for everyone at the moment, but if you find yourself able to do so, it would mean the world to them to receive any level of charity possible. In light of growing concerns about the COVID-19 Coronavirus disease, we would like to take a moment to state that we are monitoring the situation as it develops and will be taking every step necessary to maintain an extremely high standard of hygiene and sanitation within each of our locations. Kaleidoscope Coffee has achieved a sterling health and cleanliness record in the ten years since our founding, and we have developed a superb relationship with local Health Departments... who we will be keeping in contact with to keep up with current events. Customer and employee health and safety is our first priority, and we will be taking several additional steps to uphold our standard of excellence within our prep areas and in customer seating and points of sale. Your experience may appear slightly different because of this, including our choices to implement the following policies with regards to employee interaction with customers: Removing utensils such as straws, spoons, and napkins from our countertops and providing them upon request Only serving drinks in disposable cups, declining to introduce personal/reusable/pre-used cups into our prep areas for the purposes of being filled Stay safe out there, and have a groovy day! -The Kaleidoscope Crew

We are OPEN today! Our shops on Athens Avenue in Redding and North Street are up and running and, barring any power outages or other emergencies, all of our shops will be open for their regular hours today. Stay warm and stay safe!

Currently all of our shops in Shasta County are closed; the power is out in the Anderson shop, and none of our employees are able to reach any shop due to fallen trees, traffic incidents, and road blockage. We will post updates as soon as we are able to open any shop. Stay safe out there, everyone!

Good afternoon, Redding! Unfortunately, we are unable to stay open later than 1pm at our Athens and Mall shops today, but our Anderson shop will be open as per ...its usual hours. We are running on a skeleton crew due to employees living in evacuation zones, and will continue to stay open as late as possible, but we may have to hold reduced hours until they have safely relocated and things calm down. Good morning, Redding! First off, we would like to say how sorry we are to all who have a loss this morning. We will continue to keep positive thoughts for all ...the firefighters, for all that are helping, and everyone affected by this fire. All but one of our employees for the Athens shop have had to evacuate their homes, and we are staying open until 1pm today, drive-thru only. Currently our Anderson shop is up and running, and our Mt. Shasta Mall location will also be closing at 1pm. This is a devastating time for all of us, and we will work hard to continue to serve our community as best we can. We hope we can encourage everyone be patient and kind with everyone they meet, particularly as other local businesses and services are being taxed to their limits in staying open.
