Bravo Team! Here's what the jury had to say: "A wonderfully articulated and resolve design approach turns a technical and budgetary challenge on its head and succeeds in surpassing what the project sets out to achieve. The focus on the end user is evident as is the collaborative effor...t it must have taken." We are thrilled to share that The Arroyo Affordable Housing Development received the Jorn Utzon Award from the Australian Institute of Architects. A big congrats to our partners, collaborators, stakeholders, and entire team who made this project possible. Thank you to the jury for sharing these comments, In this rapidly densifying setting, The Arroyo Affordable Housing project demonstrates the formal opportunities of environmental and urban responsiveness. It affirms that affordable housing is a critical concern for architecture, and shows that within the limits of typology and budget, thoughtful design can make beautiful, amenable places, where residents can live and thrive with dignity." : Eric Staudenmaier

We are honored to celebrate MuseumLab with 2 Architizer Awards. Named as a ‘Jury Winner’ in the category of Cultural-Museum and recognized as 1 of 6 International projects to receive the ‘2020 Special Honoree’ award presented to projects that champion architecture’s potential to positively impact everyday life." To learn more about the project and other 2020 Special Honoree recipients, visit link in bio. Swipe right for photos of the excavation process. This community-bas...ed, adaptive-reuse project reinvents a historic Carnegie Library into a learning lab for children and teens to share cutting-edge experiences in art, tech and making. The collaborative design removed the 1970's layer to get to the bones of the building. The process both explores how buildings are made and shows visitors the path to discovery. We really value how MuseumLab continues to embody exploration, inspire curiosity, and set new standards for learning engagement. We feel honored that the Jury recognizes this, too. Congrats to the other 2020 Special Honorees.
