Neighbors - at...tached is the Valle De Oro Community Planning Group agenda for Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 7pm at Otay Water District Headquarters (2554 Sweetwater Springs Blvd., Spring Valley, Training Room/Lower Terrace). There will be an opportunity for the public to speak to the Group regarding the "Cottonwood Golf Course Repurposing Project" and provide your feedback on whether the Group should approve the project and what recommendations the Group should make to the Board of Supervisors who will have final approval on this project. The project involves a 279-acre property located along the south side of Willow Glen Drive in Rancho San Diego. It proposes to mine sand from within the floodplain over a 10-year period with reclamation to riparian habitat/open space uses and approximately 45 acres for future development. Operations would be conducted 5 days per week with approximately 85 truckloads of finished product exported from the site on a daily basis. This project coupled with the Ivanhoe Ranch proposed project and Proctor Valley project will bring a host of serious issues for our community.
