It is with sadness and broken hearts, that we must announce the passing of our great friend and family member, Brian Chase. Brian has been a pillar in the Antelope Valley, and an integral part of our Point Broadcasting Family for the past 15 years. He woke us up and helped us begin our day every morning on KMIX 106.3. His wittiness, positive energy, passion for the music, and Love of our KMIX listeners and the Antelope Valley came through the speakers, every morning. Beyond ...that, was his level of loyalty and selflessness shown through his actions and activities off air and in the community. Brian put his heart, soul and positive energy into everything he did. The countless hours that Brian dedicated to volunteer work, hosting events, and bringing awareness to countless charities, organizations and causes is a testament to Brian’s heart and commitment to always helping others. Brian Chase was more than a Radio DJ, Program Director, or Morning show host. He was member of our family, and will be greatly missed. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate his amazing life, and will encourage all to carry it as an example of passion, dedication and helping others.

http://health.lacounty.gov Lancaster now has 18 total cases and Palmdale has 4. These numbers are not indicative of how many cases we actually have since few people are being tested. Lancaster is awaiting delivery of the first 25,000 antibody test kits which will tell the doctors if the patient has had COVID 19 or currently has it. If the patient tests positive and has symptoms the assumption will be that they have the virus. We decided that we can longer wait for LA Pub...lic Health to supply test kits. Stay healthy, stay safe and stay home. God bless, Rex See more

PALMDALE Palmdale City Manager J.J. Murphy has declared a state of emergency in the City of Palmdale in response to the increasing threat of coronavirus (COVID-19) throughout Los Angeles County, the state, and the country. The declaration will be presented to the City Council for ratification at their meeting on Tuesday, March 17. By declaring a state of emergency, we will have better access to the tools and resources we need to fulfill our mission of protecting our reside...nts while carrying out the functions of City government, said Murphy. The CDC recommends expanded community mitigation activities to include limiting social interaction, in helping slow the spread of coronavirus. While we are not aware of any confirmed cases in Palmdale, it is important to be pro-active in implementing mitigation strategies to reduce the threat in our community. ******************************************************************** Lancaster Mayor R. In order to address the outdated voting procedure in LA County, a new voting system under Voting Solution for All People has been developed with the goals of simplicity, efficiency and cost effectiveness. The new voting model will move away from reliance on pre-printed paper rosters and in its place provide real time access to the full voter database at all voting locations that makes same-day voter registration easier. New voting process will still produce a paper b ballo...t for accountability and accuracy.
