Nothing can stop a family that works together #BluePlanet2

I remember the very first trade I did was a dime size Mystery TieDye Jawbreaker mushroom coral for the mother of this... which was a pencil tip size. After a number of years, the tank crashed and thought all was lossed. Original mother lossed but some babies survived. This 2" Bounce mushroom survived.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPnkVVmu5XQ In my professional opinion, this is a perfect pair genetically for breeding or just to enjoy in your main show tank. The Blackhawk Picasso with a combover helmet is from original parents (Old ORA x OG Doni's later generation). The one with the nice helmet, black on the belly and shadowing under helmet edges is from a different parents (OG Doni's later generation x Addison's Quest C-Quest Onyx). Great genetics to get crazy patterns, ...great colors and very few platinums in the next generation. The genetics is great as you are not breeding brother to sister, son to mother for father to daughter like so many breeders have been doing indiscriminately and continuously diluting the gene pool. When I was a dog breeder over 40 years ago, we were always watching genetics and never inbred like what happens in clownfishes. I just love the spotted patterns that are completely filled in black and the little orange that is showing is a bright orange, not the typical dull orange. The next generation for this pair may yield some black and white extreme picassos. What I have been preaching for years from a breeder's point of view (but I'm not a clownfish breeder) is bring in the bright colors from the C-Quest Onyx and the crazy patterns and great body form from the Doni's later generation where she realize that her lineage was diluted, so she brought in what I believe is a wildcaught onyx to help refresh her diluted gene pool. Doni's bred some of the best Snowcassos in the world.

https://youtu.be/GTnKPPCvhQE I’ve been a clownfish collector (not breeder) for over 15yrs and a dog breeder for championship show over 40yrs ago for a number of years. I may not know everything about clownfishes and genetics (we’re all always learning), but I feel I know enough to discuss how important breeding for improved genetics is. Just an immediate disclosure this is not a perfect pair structurally, so no need to criticize anything that might be slightly off with eithe...Continue reading

This is a first for us... after 12 years, we have our first polyp that is almost all red and just starting to show its first specks of green. We have never had an almost all red Mystery TieDye Jawbreaker Shroom. #MysteryTieDyeMushroom #JawbreakerMushroom Sorry, Not for Sale KM Associates Int’l co-owns the oldest living Mystery TieDye/Jawbreaker mushroom colony in the USA today. Our mother is the first offspring of the original Jawbreaker mother that was imported to USA. We co...-owned our mother colony since 2005 and never let go a single polyp until 2012. For over 6 years, we observe our colony grow and morph into various colors. It became apparent in 2012 that finally the colony was large enough to split among the 3 partners and still keep a colony for reselling. When you buy from KM Associates Int’l, you buy from the original Jawbreaker source, which was later renamed Mystery TieDye. See more

https://youtu.be/oFog6uWSxvQ Original ORA x Doni's from different parents. I got to choose one pair for my FB and YouTube followers and the customer who purchased the pair took a 3rd. Awesome trio, great example of Booyah's Reef Blackhawk Picassos. This is what I consider a great breeding or show pair.

C-Quest Onyx x Doni's Snowcasso, same breeding program as AlRod's InfraRed Onyx Picassos. It's great to see success with full helmets and not a single platinum in the batch. Look at the nice rich colors coming in at 6mos... thanks to the C-Quest half. https://youtu.be/Hhqsxk_m3U8

Awesome pair from Booyah's Reef. This video was made on special request by a customer, so it's already pre-sold. Old ORA x new Doni's lineage. https://youtu.be/ebvj5PXholY
