Well, we officially made it to 37 weeks. Swipe to see my real feelings jk I was just giving my super unprofessional photographer ( daniel) the look. We’re not expecting baby girl to be in there much longer based on how my body has worked the last three times ( first two born at exactly 37 two days, third 38 on the dot) and after my doctors appt yesterday, happy to say things are moving along quite on schedule as they have with all other 3. Taking bets now for when baby girl will make her debut!!

It’s pretty wild to me to think that the love we have for our children is literally nothing compared to the perfect love our father has for us. It can’t even come close and that blows my mind. I can’t think of a more urgent message for my children. To know and feel Gods mighty love for them. For through that understanding all good things flow. I pray all the time we as parents are able to be representatives of that love here on earth but the truth is, we don’t even come close because we’re human. But that’s the beauty of Jesus and his love. Is it’s so perfect, it guides us so gracefully through life, through parenthood. Through our submission, we’re able to be vessels of his love to our children and man that’s so beautiful

I don’t have a lot of words to say. I do know I just can’t even come close to knowing how exhausting this is for the black community. Praying my kids grow up knowing we are all children of God. EQUALLY created. EQUALLY loved. EQUALLY kept by Christ. This crap has to stop. It’s so disgusting and we have to do better to stand against this!! My heart is aching and I know, that as a white woman I can’t even come close to feeling the real pain that exists today in our black community. #justicefordauntewright

36 weeks grateful to @stephenpluskasey for snapping this photo at our motherhood minis Friday. This pregnancy so far is looking a lot like the last three. ( I went through prodromal labor with all three starting at 34 weeks) and this one is very similar. Contractions are nice and strong and frequent, so spending my last few weeks trying to rest and savor the sleep we are getting and cherish the moments of being able to give Daniel, Mase, Nora and Hayden the majority of my attention as I know soon it will shift and we will all have to adapt. Trying my best to keep my expectations low that have been developed from the last three deliveries and trust fully in God’s perfect plan and peace.

Merry Christmas Eve my friends. I’ll sure miss this season when it is gone in a few days. But the beauty is, the joy and hope of our savior never leaves us. The gospel truly changes everything. And man am I grateful for that! Our living hope in this weary world brings me so much comfort and joy!!! I’m so excited to celebrate the birth of our savior today and tomorrow and how blessed are we to be able to celebrate his goodness everyday in our lives?! Ahhhh our God is so good

I remember one day I was listening to this on my way to work, and I just lost it. Overwhelming gratitude. How beautiful it is to have someone by our side unconditionally. Through all highs and all lows, no matter what. The comfort that our God is the God of the Mountains AND the God of the valleys just brings me so much peace. That he walks in the fire with us, whatever that fire may be in our lives, and at the same time, rejoices in our joy and victories alongside us. That his love is unwavering. Ahhhh such comfort in a world that’s so void of that. I don’t know about you, but I’ve been in some deep dark valleys and on some high mountains, and to have felt God in both, brings me such hope and peace.

Above all, keep loving on another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. Show hospitality to one another without grumbling. As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied Grace. 1Peter 4:8-10 I named this collection More Love 2020 because I think we can all agree our world is in need of more love. While my hope does not lie in this world, it’s sad to see we live in a time that is often void of something so simple, love. Today on Election Day, let us be reminded of this command; to love above all! Some may call me naive, and that’s ok. I don’t take our country and our policies lightly. But my calling is more love and more love is what I will strive for.

5 more days...are we ready?!

Another month went by, another period. Another negative test. Through the year of loss, reopening wounds I thought had healed, re-exposing pain and fear, I never felt myself break. I would remind myself of truths I’d been reveled through Christ through previous loss, and reach out to friends who knew my pain and could speak life into me. But this month felt different. I broke down. I had finally dropped my guard and found myself in my bathroom, completely vulnerable to my fru...stration and sadness. I cried real hard that day. I went back and forth with God. Asked him, when?! Told him I was tired. Told him I trusted him, that he knew what my heart desires but that I was tired. That I just want a baby. That I felt like it was never going to happen. And just then, in a very deep cry, the song Promises by @maverickcitymusic came on in the background. And the words great is your faithfulness to me repeated over and over again. And they hit me like they’ve never hit me before. I felt guilt initially, for forgetting such truth. But then I felt great thankfulness. I was reminded of his promises. Not only the ones he continues to reveal to me daily, the babies that are running my halls, the immense love I have in this life, but that what he starts inside of me he will bring to completion. And I felt rest. The very next month, a positive test. And here we are, 12 weeks, with a baby that’s clung on. We’re overjoyed. We are so grateful. Baby Register #4 coming May 2021

Like I’ve said before, I’ve felt like this year has been a year of using this business and what god has given me to pour into others who have needed us through all the crazy this year has brought. So ...through that, almost everything released this year has been a fundraiser of some sort which has been absolutely amazing but we all know small biz needs to actually make money to survive. On top of that, the lord has been teaching me so much this year and it’s been so rewarding designing from my heart and being creative. Stepping up on my soapbox a tiny bit to bring you, support your local maker (with realistic expectations) : a guide. Here’s the thing. Us makers LOVE our customers. We pour our blood, sweat, tears into our businesses. We jump with excitement each time an order comes across our computers or phones. We are INVESTED in you and our craft. But you know what sucks as a maker? The conditioned Amazon prime consumer in 2020. The need to have it yesterday mentality with the expectati...on of handmade, high-quality and unique at the lowest possible price. The notion that we as the business should have customer service similar to big box and be available to the consumer 24/7. The idea that if we don’t bow down to the expectations of the conditioned consumer, we won’t make it as little fish in a big pond. And guys, it’s not your fault. We understand you’ve been conditioned to the convenience of amazon prime and drive up, curbside online service. We understand the culture these days but it doesn’t mean we have to bow to it. So, as a fellow maker in a sea of amazing makers, we ask you to please, especially this holiday season, while many of you choose to spend your hard earned money with us small fries, Know that your support means everything to us. But we want to make sure your expectations align with what it really means to support a maker. It doesn’t mean 2 day delivery, it doesn’t mean 24/7 service, it doesn’t mean lowest pricing. It DOES mean handcrafted. High-quality. Unique. Heartfelt. Made with LOVE, GRATITUDE AND CARE. It means you’re literally putting food in the mouths of babies and families. It means human error and longer processing time because two human hands are creating your product! Ughhh how is tomorrow already FRIDAY?! I feel like I literally BLINK and another work week goes by. While this is a blessing because I love what I do and being at work is a blast most days, it’s a curse because I feel like I can’t get a grip on time! It just feels like it’s slips right through my fingers like quicksand. I can’t believe we’re looking into holiday season already. I fully intended to have our fall line our by now and have two fall drops, but life and this amazing community has pulled me other directions. So, I’m thinking one big fall drop it is mid November just in time for Christmas shopping. I have been working on this line since July you guys, so I promise it’ll be worth the wait

How cute are these two thanks for the photo shoot of pics to choose from @payytonpalomino We’re still cranking these out guys! Day by day we’re able to put out 100-200 of the nearly 3000 pieces we need to produce! We’re about 3/4 of the way complete! The men’s version is waaaaay easier to get done so those are mostly done we’re just working on packaging, however the floral version takes about 4 minutes per shirt to complete! So you can understand why this is taking a b...it! In hindsight if I would have known so many of you would have ordered, I probably would have simplified the design Last thing I want to be transparent with you all about is, and I mentioned it a little last week but; this is a not-for-profit fundraiser on our end. We are just a team of 6 and still have the for-profit aspects of our business to maintain. The bills still have to get paid on our end every month and customers still need our services. We just can’t dedicate 100% of our manpower to this project. Could I outsource this? Sure. Could I hire temps to help? Sure. But you know what that means? Less money donated. And I’m pretty sure if you had to choose between getting your shirts two weeks earlier or a couple thousand less donated to these creek fire victims, you would choose the first. So, thanks again for being patient. We promise we’re working hard, every single day to get you your tees and know this is NOT the usual turn around for us at KLSD. but because of all of your guys’ generosity we’ve had the biggest fundraiser to date. now if y’all wanna make my next merch launch this successful, I promise to hire more people to help ;)
