For our last Pursuit Episode of the season we wanted to give you a glimpse into our patrol operations for anyone that wasn’t able to attend our virtual Meet & Greet event last week. Our mountain operations teams work non-stop during the winter so everyone can enjoy the mountain and do it safely. Give our teams a shout-out in the comments!

The Kirkwood Freeride Team athletes work nonstop throughout the year to excel at their sport. This season, 18 of them placed in the top 10 of the Tahoe Freeride competitions and made the mountain proud. We are looking forward to continuing to support this incredible event that pushed the youngsters on the freeride team to find their edge. We’ve been hard at work planning, preparing and dreaming about delivering you a great ski and ride season, focusing on three things: your safety, having a successful season start to finish, and prioritizing our pass holders. Today, we’re sharing our winter operating plan with opening dates and answers on everything from face coverings to loading lifts to dining on mountain. But the ...most important change is that for your safety, we will be managing mountain access this season with a new reservation system that gives pass holders priority access. We know this season will be different, but we want to give you peace of mind knowing you’ll have the space you need at our resort.
