100% agree with this article. They hit on all the reasons I refuse to do online transfers for firearms & ammo. The big online guys work on very small margins when times are slow, often times their cost is even less than your average B&M shop because of volume. And very large margins when times are good. Your local stores cannot survive on transfers alone, and price matching an online store that maybe has 2.5% in a pistol isn’t feasible when you factor in electricity, rent, etc..... Yes it’s great for the consumer, but it’s terrible for the guys with knowledge and passion for the industry. I’d much rather have the option to buy from small local shops with knowledgeable people behind the counter than the big conglomerates. Just my 2 cents. Be careful what your wish for.
