To always be aware of what's going around you, and how fast you're driving, we tell our students to glance ahead, then check the speedometer; glance ahead, then check all 3 mirrors; and repeat. This safe driving practice will prevent you from getting tunnel vision or staring at the bumper in front of you.

If you need more time to prepare for and schedule your behind-the-wheel drive test at the DMV, you're in luck! The DMV has extended driver’s license permits with an expiration date through November 30, 2020.

We are doing our part to slow the spread. For example, we require all students and instructors to wear face coverings during their behind-the-wheel class together. Once the student exists the car, our instructors use sanitizing wipes to clean any part of the interior that was touched such as the steering wheel, mirrors, door handles, seat belts, seat adjuster, etc. We will soon be getting non-contact forehead thermometers to perform temperature checks on all students before their class begins.

Starting on Friday 6/26, the CA DMV is only providing drive tests to customers who had previously scheduled appointments. The department is automatically rescheduling those drive tests and will not offer new appointments until the backlog is cleared, which is anticipated to take several weeks to complete.
