Most spectacular day ever! All fish pictured were a few of the bigger ones (including a 23 and 21 inch brown) that I caught today! All in all over 30 fish(evenly caught between us). The Black Sears family is committed to caring for the land they love and call home, farming organically and biodynamically in the vineyard. The site barely needs any irrigation with its deep roots; the vine growth is so well balanced in this exceptiona...l location. The clusters are beautiful: loose, with very dark, thick-skinned berries. Being at such a high elevation, the vineyard is situated above the inversion layer, so it is warm in the morning and shaded from the hot afternoon sun. This gives the flavors time to develop while keeping the sugar levels in line, resulting in a wine with beautiful balance. Villa Saletta @villasaletta is a 1,760-acre estate located in the heart of Tuscany. Its story spans centuries, with the first written account of winemaking dating back to 980AD. In 2000, Guy and Julia Hands purchased the estate and began restoring its productive vitality, starting with the regrowth of the 22 hectares of vineyards in 2002. This includes Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Sangiovese grape varietals.
