Attention Glendora and Bonita Unified Families! We just opened up- 1/2 day spots for our highly endorsed After School Martial Arts program with extended care to meet the 2020-2021 school year needs. Registration is OPEN for the New 2020-2021 School Year! We are planning for a FULL 5 day a week Fall re-opening for Kindergarten through 8th grade. Currently, the state is discussing one of two options for the next school year and we are prepared for both.... Full Distance Learning: 5 full days of distance learning Hybrid School: 2 days on campus and 3 days of distance learning Both programs include pupil free and minimum days (not legal holidays), their martial arts tuition ($159 value) as well as daily martial arts activities, practice time with a Sensei, crafts, games, snacks and homework help. We are taking a limited number of students this year to follow the guidelines provided by the State of California. I cannot stress enough that we will fill up the limited number of spots quickly, so please enroll your student if you are planning on being with us this year. Barriers, such as pool fencing, help prevent unsupervised access. Learn CPR. In the time it takes for paramedics to arrive, your CPR skills can save a life. Talk to your children about water safety. Children should be taught to never go into the water without a parent or guardian. Air-filled or foam toys are not safety devices. Don’t use water wings, noodles or inner tubes instead of life jackets. These toys are not designed to keep swimmers safe. Drowning can happen quickly and quietly. You might expect a drowning person to splash or yell for help. Sometimes, people quietly slip beneath the water. Avoid the everyone is watching, no one is watching scenario. Family and friends gather at a backyard barbecue and pool party. Adults assume everyone is watching the kids, but no one is watching. Keep children away from pool drains, pipes and other openings. Drains should be covered with federally approved covers to avoid suction entrapment. Install pool fences. More than half of all drownings involving young children can be prevented by four-sided fencing, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. What a fun night we had! Thank you Nicci from Blue Violet Muffin for another amazing Paint Night and a great big thank you to everyone who attended! Can’t wait for the next one!

Balsamic Roasted Carrots Ingredients 1 pound baby (or regular) carrots, peeled... 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper 1 tablespoon sunflower seeds 3 tablespoons fresh thyme Instructions Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. On a baking pan, mix the carrots with the extra virgin olive oil, half of the balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper. Roast for 15 minutes in the preheated oven. Take out the carrots, shake the pan to move the carrots then add the remaining balsamic vinegar and the sunflower seeds Roast for another 5 minutes or until they are tender. Garnish with the fresh thyme.

Spanish Lessons start this Wednesday at 3:30pm with el maestro Arleen! (That's Spanish for teacher, yes I had to look it up!) We are super excited to be working on beginning Spanish in our After School Program! See you there!

Summer is almost over! Week 10 is RDK Spirit Week. We start with Hawaiian Day, then PJ Day on Tuesday, Wednesday is Paint Day, Crazy Sock Day for Thursday and round out the week with Crazy Hair Day. Some of our kids will be starting school on Wednesday so Crazy Sock day may still be applicable depending on their school dress policy, but Crazy Hair Day is just for campers. Looking forward to seeing everyone's cool get-ups!

Its Fun with Food Week. Today our kids made their own Personal Pizzas and then Tie Dyed shirts with Kool Aid! They had a great time.

Next week is FUN WITH FOOD! We will be making our own snacks, lunches and treats as well as a trip to AZUCAR for Ice Cream! We also have a Fun Treat - An End of Summer Pool Party hosted by one of our very own camper families!! Get ready for an awesome week!

Summer is slowly coming to an end and the back to school season is about to begin! Now is a perfect time to help your child with more focus and concentration. Lets make this school year the best one ever!

Yesterday's Art Project of Ocean themed Dream Catchers are hanging up for all to see! They look great and the kids enjoyed making them. They will get to go home with our campers on Friday!

We have an exciting Wacky Water Week planned for our Summer Camp this week! We will be making Ocean Dream Catchers, have a Water Gun fight at the park and our Field Trip is a HUGE Water Slide on Wednesday - At ASMA!! We are looking forward to finding ways to stay cool this week!

Week 7 can you believe it?!?!?! With only a few weeks left before school starts we are making sure the kids are having the best possible time while staying cool and creating memories that will last a lifetime. This week is Marvel vs DC week!!! Who's is the best in the comic world? we all have our favorites and we are going to prove once and for all who's the best of the best is. The campers are encouraged to wear as much swag as they can this week that shows their support for their favorite hero or villain. We will be splitting them up and they will compete all week long to see who comes out at the top of the heap.
