This is a project I produced for Universal Standard Housing Corporation here in Los Angeles. USH builds low income qualifying apartment buildings using factory built modular units. The video includes drone footage of their flatbed trucks moving the modular units through the streets of Los Angeles to the work site at 4252 Crenshaw Avenue, Baldwin Hills/Leimert Park neighborhood. Also the video has a 6 month timelapse using a weather proof, solar powered and sim card enabled photoSentinel camera housing. Special thanks to the collaboration of Brian Hawkins

Posting my Disney timelapse compilation video here first for my Facebook friends, before I release it into the rest of the social media sphere. Just in case you miss going to Disney parks. Footage is from several different trips and two different television shows airing on Disney+, Decorating Disney and Disney FairyTale Weddings. Mostly shot over night or in the very early hours when none or little visitors are present in the parks. Shot on location at Walt Disney World and D...isneyland, including EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, Pandora World of Avatar, Grand Floridian Resort, Coronado Resort, California Adventure and Cars Land. The Pandora footage at the end was quite tricky to capture, the entire land is lit with "bioluminescence" lights which are on various flicker cycles. It looks really impressive in person but difficult to capture correctly on a timelapse camera. I worked with Digital Anarchy's Flicker Free software to reduce the main issues to be less distracting. But even after consulting Digital Anarchy's engineers we couldn't full overcome it. The problem is the intensity of the flicker -- when specific parts of the shot are flickering between color and almost total darkness, it's more than Flicker Free's algorithm can handle. The algorithm looks for and corrects changes in brightness -- not changes in color between black and color. Anyway I think it still came out pretty interesting. See more

When I was a kid I used to read the World Book Encyclopedia cover to cover and dream about exotic faraway places. Nowadays airfares are so cheap and travel is so easy, I’m trying to check off all the places on my bucket list. But of course everyone else has the same idea. Everywhere I go, I find myself surrounded by tourists from all over the world. Trying to shoot timelapses in these places can be really annoying. People jump in front of your shot, little kids grab your tripod. It really used to piss me off. But now, I try to stay zen, be mindful and embrace the moment. I make it a part of the experience. I’m an observer of the observers. This is the glass floor on top of the tallest building in Thailand.
