Applying for college is a stressful business and when you add financial issues on top of that, it can be quite a worrisome brew. This team made the entire process easy and painless. We got to know Kim Ketterman from a friend who had used her services for their first daughter going to college. Looking back at the college application processes for our older daughter, we have to say that it has been intimidating ... to the very least. We were unsure of the FAFSA, CSS requirements, SAT/ACT hurdles, requirements from various universities, recommendations letter requirements etc. Most importantly we were not familiar on how scholarships work. Our first app...ointment with Kim was pleasant. She was professional throughout the process. In all honesty, if we would not have talked to Kim, we would have ruled out a lot of colleges/universities that are actually within our reach. Yes, we had college advisors from our daughter's high school who was not as helpful as they probably had to deal with 1,000 other students during the application time. We love working with Barbara who unassumingly patience with all our questions. There are times when she was busy, hence was not able to provide us with the answers we needed but nonetheless she got back to us quite promptly. There are also time when she pushes us to get our acts together, whether they are tax returns related, ACT/SAT scoring related as well as others. Having engaged KCF gave us somewhat a piece of mind and additional resources to use for our first daughter college preparation. I have twin daughters who are now freshman at UCSB and we couldn't have gotten here as easily without KCF's assistance. I attended two other college counseling seminars when my girls were high school freshmen before choosing KCF and chose Ketterman for their professionalism and their program simplicity. I lov...ed that I could choose which of the three services I wanted instead of signing up for all of them which amounted to savings for us and a happy customer for me. Our counselor Barbara Deems & FAFSA experts Patrick Comer & Linda Georgio were all wonderful and a HUGE help. Staff representative Monica Fisher has also been great and so helpful. Great job Lea & Cory!! The FAFSA filing can be confusing, however, ketterman is very helpful and offers great services. I have been utilizing Ketterman College Funding's services over the past 2 years for FAFSA filing and am a very happy customer. They have friendly and helpful staff that are able to answer any of my questions. Lea and Cory respond very quickly and go the extra mile to help me out. They have a lot of experience and are knowledgeable in the subject. Kim's frontline knowledge about a vast number of schools was very helpful in identifying the right list of prospective colleges for our son and our daughter. The fact the one needs a service like Ketterman College Funding to navigate the insanity of the FAFSA forms and college financial planning in general is a scathing indictment of our corrupt system which sees students as a profit center. Appalling. That said, bravo to KCF for helping us figure all this crap out. They were super helpful during the college selection process and were instrumental in playing one college off against another in order to get a better scholarship offer which basically paid for the cost of four years of their services. As well, Patrick their consultant who actually helps you fill out all the forms is a really smart, friendly guy who really seems to care about you.
