Creative quilts are made with no rhyme or reason. All that is required is your imagination, fabric and the ability to let go of traditional structured control and surrender to creative chaos. Sometimes my quilts are made by using the block design. Sometimes it’s by layering fabric, and then cutting out new blocks from the old blocks; or mixing the layers to recreate blocks - no measuring. It’s fabric mayhem. In addition, sometimes it's fun to reinterpret and incorporate ...a common block, such as Double Wedding Ring, Lone Star, Yellow Brick Road, Log Cabin, Sunbonnet Sue, Pickle Dish, Broken Dishes. I feel I have made a successful quilt if it makes people laugh or think, "hum, that's different, why did she put that there?. In addition, my goal is to inspire, and help others to see the world around them a little differently, find the humor in life and imagine the possibilities. Enjoy!
