The Kern Valley Transfer in Kernville is accepting carpet for recycling. Carpet must be dry, free of debris and cut into manageable sections that have been separated from the carpet pad and rolled. Residential customers will not be charged a recycling fee. Commercial entities will be charged $45 per ton of carpet with a 50% discount if source-separated. Proof of residence is required....
