Today in a conversation with CDFA, I learned that while moving poultr...y is absolutely still against quarantine regulations, we can give our extra eggs away as food to friends and family. If they are washed! I asked and here is the reply.... " The COVID-19 pandemic is an unprecedented situation and people need food. During this difficult time, CDFA is not opposed to giving eggs to people in need. However in order to sell or donate eggs, you must register as an Egg Handler with the CDFA Egg Safety and Quality Management Program. They came and tested 5 bantums today for Newcastle. They have been here since being quarantined end of December. I was asked to move they away from the public for now. It makes me sad but I moved them. Kids love to see the birds. They were very professional and worked around my customers. They are just as anxious to have this be over as we are. They don't know the dates yet. (No inside info)
