Join us on this Second Sunday of Eastertide and Creation Care Sunday! We'll thank God for all of the creation and All Good Gifts within. We'll also celebrate and bless Cathy Stephenson for her legacy of leadership, wisdom and service to our congregation. Thank you Cathy, we love you!
Thanks for joining Miss Barb and Miss Molly to rejoice in this day and to make resurrection rolls. Seeing you two days in a row is a real treat for the teachers. Happy Easter!
The joy was palpable as the children visited with each other, dyed eggs and made crafts on the KCC lawn (in masks). It was not surprising that it felt so good to meet in person! Special thanks to Robert, Carol, Donna and The Robinsons for the hard-boiled eggs, and to the youth for their leadership in facilitating each craft. Happy Easter!
Christ is risen! Christ is risen indeed, alleluia! Join us for an inspiring worship on this Resurrection Sunday. Happy Easter from KCC!
Please join Pastor Darryl for Communion in the Courtyard this morning until 10:30 a.m.
Join us for Palm to Passion Sunday as we commemorate Jesus' last week of his earthly ministry. It's a special service of Word, Song, Prayer and Communion inviting us to walk with Christ from 'Hosanna' to 'Were You There?'
Join us on the Fifth Sunday of Lent! Hear how confession and forgiveness are essential disciplines of the faith and a true Balm in Gilead for the sin sick soul.
Last night in Youth Group, we talked about the environment, food politics, and baked peanut butter and chocolate gluten free cookies with a bit o' green for Saint Patty's Day.
As we celebrate the Fourth Sunday of Lent, we commemorate the one year anniversary of Covid-19. We commune with Christ and those who have gone before us around the Table, hear the Good News of God's steadfast love, and bask in the superpowers of our children and youth! Come worship with us!
We received a marvelous thank you note from our scholarship young women today! Here’s the link to find out more about this wonderful organization: https://cambodianvillagefund.org

After a turbulent and trying week in our nation, come join in Beloved Community as we hear Good News, not fake news, and we answer the call of Christ to join him down at the riverside to be baptized and around the table to be fed Soul Food.!
Happy New Year! We pray that you and yours are safe and well, and that you had happy holidays. This week's Worshipful Experience is a celebration for the 2nd Sunday of Christmastide. It has a strong Epiphany feel to it as well. May this beloved digital community fill your heart with the light of the love of God.
Merry Christmas from KCC! Join us for this lovely service of Carols, Lessons, and Light as we welcome the Christ Child into our hearts and celebrate the everlasting love of God shining in our world.
Happy Valentine's Day! The preschoolers made this cute little ornament. They understand that God has enough love for everyone and everything in the world AND they took it one step further. They also said that God could love them when they have BIG feelings. Sunday School win!

It’s the 21st Sunday after Pentecost and the day we celebrate the Protestant Reformation! This week we begin building up to our Stewardship Campaign themed, "Beloved, Love," with the first of four Stewardship Moments. For this week's Stewardship Moment, Eve and Azar present how your sharing of your financial, human, and spiritual gifts go beyond our campus to serve the "least of these" in our community and world.
It is our prayer that you and yours are safe and well this beautiful day. Tomorrow is the 20th Sunday after Pentecost. May this week's Worshipful Experience inspire you and fill you with hope.
We are getting ready for the 2020 Nativity at KCC! Can you keep a secret? Little lambs will make an appearance. Yes indeed, this year the cast includes our youth AND children In those unusual year we decided to make a Nativity video that replaces the Live Nativity and the Christmas Pageant. Everyone will wear masks and the cast and crew will maintain a safe physical distance from each other. We are in conversation with parents to find ways for each child and youth to participate because inclusivity is an important value at KCC.
https://youtu.be/e5dtgtzc2wo Join us for our worshipful experience on the 19th Sunday Following Pentecost, Accessible to All Sunday, and National Coming Out Day! Pastor Darryl encourages the church to come out again! David prays that he 'Would Know How It Feels to Be Free.' And one of our college students, Nik, reads our Sacred Story from their dorm room! So come on out and join us as we worship and praise God together!
Join us as well as millions of Christians from around the globe as we celebrate World Communion Sunday. Friend of KCC, Tiffany Tang, reads our scripture story all the way from Norway! David and Kay-Marie ask us to "Break Bread Together" for we are Somos pueblo de camina! Barb sits us a rainbow and tells what a blessing it is to learn about other cultures and build friendships out of our diversity. Pastor Darryl tells us that Blessed are the Flip-Floppers. Be well. Stay Safe.
Today we baked cookies in Sunday School with the 1st graders through 6th graders. We learned that we all contribute different amounts of unique talents to the world. The M&M's represent us, that we are all magnificently made. Thank you Judit, Becky, Molly and Brian!!
Join us for our Worshipful Experience for the 17th Sunday after Pentecost. It is a service that looks at our call to be humble and Christ-like on our dealings with each other. This is how we bear fruit of God's Peaceable Realm and it is also for making it Well With My Soul. Katie and JB Robinson offer us their gift of song in a beautiful rendition of this beloved hymn, Barbara looks at what it means to be humble, and Pastor gets real about how tough a week it has been for him/us and offers a word of hope through it all, and David & Kay-Marie pray to God to Make Us More Holy.
We begin our Worshipful Experience this week, the 16th Sunday after Pentecost, with a prayerful tribute to Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Rest in Peace and Power, Sister Ruth! We will also gather around the Communion Table and share in the Rite of Holy Communion. So get your Bread of Life and Cup of Love ready. And we pray our words, prayers, and songs lift your heart and fill your spirit with hope and love, and that you're reminded that you are not alone.... God is with you, and we are with you in these troubling and hard times. Please take care of yourselves. And if you are in need of help, please seek it. If we can be that help, please reach out to us. We love and are here for you. https://youtu.be/Muc1ttp6bX8
Come celebrate RALLY DAY with us at KCC! Bless some backpacks, meet our Sunday School Teachers, and be uplifted by the proclamation of our Kerygma. And then find some soul respite in this weary time as David sings the eternal words that God has got the whole world in Her/Their/His hands!

Happy 13th Sunday after Pentecost. https://youtu.be/okPyw9AJ2kc
It's the 12th Sunday Following Pentecost and we're asking the profoundly important question: who do you say that Jesus is? Plus, Susan and Kay-Marie knock amp a cappella version of SWING LOW out of the park! We're also grateful to Angel Morris, who videoed and edited this week's worship, for sharing their gifts and graces with us! Thanks Angel!
On this 11th Sunday after Pentecost have the eyes of your heart opened by the most unJesus Jesus story in all the Gospels. Be inspired by the persistence and determination of a proud, wise, and strong woman who won't take no for an answer, find out why it's Good News that Messiah's have blind spots and sing along to a spiritual that inspires us to Live So God Can Use Me.
Back by popular demand: Pastor Darryl’s Annual Sermon, You’ve Got Questions? will take place August 30 in the online Worshipful Experoence. Pastor Darryl’s sermon will be composed of questions asked by the congregation (including the children and youth) and his best attempt to answer them! Ask just about anything on any topic you think he might have a word or two to say about: questions on the Bible, world affairs, church history, the UCC or KCC, etc. Email or call/text the question to him by Aug. 27. He will do his best to answer as many questions as he possibly can in the timeframe of the sermon.
