"Why do you like this job?" The reason I like this job because I had a hard time in school, and one the teachers and coaches inspired me. It helped me feel more confident and happy." - Mr. Reed Photo credit: Shann Choe

What are your goals for this school year? My goals for this school year's academics are to try and get straight A’s. Maybe some B’s, but hopefully not. Sports wise, I want to help my soccer team as best as I can to get to CIF. I would also like to try and lower my times for my track events. Every year I have always tried my best and this year is no exception. I will continue to try and hopefully meet the goals I have set for myself. -Megan Brodowski... I have learned so much throughout my three years of Kennedy. I actually didn’t attend this school freshman year because I was homeschooling before. But coming to Kennedy has taught me many lessons, and I am grateful for that. I’m excited for this next chapter of my life. Victoria Ruiz, Photo 2 Class of 2019

Goodbye! My past four years at Kennedy have been wild and I am thankful for the memories. I had some great teachers. My biggest advice for Kennedy students is to take classes and join clubs that they are interested in. My senior year was fun for me because I took fun classes like Reading Movies and Psychology as well as Photo. I have seen a lot of my friends get stressed out because they took classes they did not need or like, and while I do think it is important to make your transcript look nice, your mental health is also really important. Not everyone has the same interests or work ethic, so do not feel pressured by your friends to overwhelm yourself with classes and clubs you do not like. Make your high school experience fun and work your hardest! Sarah (Rami) Ramirez, Photo 2 Class of 2019

High school has definitely been on for the books, and although I can’t say I completely enjoyed it, I had some wonderful experiences along the way. I’m forever grateful for the lessons I’ve learned, the friends I’ve made, and the progress I’ve seen within myself. Beginning freshman year, I was suffering mentally, dealing with lots of family issues, as well as personal insecurity. As time went on, I watched myself cope with these things and learned how to deal with the cards I... have been dealt. I’ve made some pretty big mistakes and said things I didn’t want to say. Brought myself down when I needed my own strength the most. Now I know when it’s time to care for myself; take a step back and recognize my humility. I can end this year saying I’m the happiest I’ve ever been throughout my high school career. Junior year was my new leaf. Thankfully and thanks to the people who have been there for me, I can say the good has outweighed most of the bad. Senior year has been a fun one for me, although very stressful. I made more friends than ever before and I found myself spiritually. I don’t think I’ll be missing high school as of right now, or at least not the monotony of school life but years down the line I think I’ll have something decent to look back on. As I reflect on my last four years of high school, I’ve met so many amazing people and learned so many things that will have prepared me for the future. Taking photography these last two years at Kennedy have shown me a new perspective of life and given me the best opportunity to express myself creatively. Being able to work in such a great atmosphere is all I could have asked for. -Katherine Garcia Photo 2: Class of 2019

This past school year has, undoubtedly, been one of the best out of all my four years in high school yet. I was able to talk to new people and have fun with some of my friends through hanging out and attending some of the social events so far. I never would have imagined enjoying this school year as much as I am now. It's amazing to know how much I've grown as a person from my time as a freshman all the way to my time as a senior. I was given the chance to meet new people and... reconnect with old friends during my time here, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Besides the emotional stress that stems from school and my personal life, I can that this has been the most fun I've had in quite awhile. It's scary to know that I won't be in high school anymore after these next few weeks, but I'm excited for what awaits in the future. Nevertheless, I'm pretty glad that I was able to document and share these moments with my friends and family, and I hope this journey continues. Gilbert Ungos Photo 2: Class of 2019 See more

What is the most important lesson you have learned? I learned to always overcome whatever’s setting you back. So like if you’re afraid of failing then don’t fail in the first place.- Nathan Luu Photo credit: Trustin Nguyen

What is something that you get most excited about during spring? I get most excited about all of the plants and flowers blossoming. I love how everything looks so green and bright and pretty! I also love the moment when you walk past a planter and you can just smell the flowers because they had just blossomed.- Maddy Camp Photo credit: Cali Larson

What do you do so for fun so that you aren’t bored in your free time? "Obviously, hang out with my friends. I like to do all sorts of new things like going to a new restaurant or see a new movie. It’s like there’s something new to do with my friends, and doing it like that never makes it boring for me." -Samuel Barrios Photo Credit: Trustin Nguyen
