Many friends and fellow fans got their first taste of @Rush with the seminal album "Moving Pictures", as did I. But it wasn't until I dug deeper into their archives and found the pivotal album "2112" that I knew I had a lifelong musical relationship forming. I was lucky enough to see them several times, peaking at their 'Time Machine' world tour in 2010 at the Shoreline Amphitheater when I was able to make my way to the stage front and capture a few choice images. (I'll tell ...the story someday how). It sparked my love of music and photography together! The rest is history. Today is the 45th anniversary of "2112", which is still younger than me. When I listen to it I am transported back to a time when I first laid back on my bed, my dad's enormous Sony headphones plugged into the receiver, cranking up the volume as much as I could stand, then flipping the vinyl disc over and over to listen to it just one more time. It's the first full day of Spring, and you know what that means. Yep! It's time for baseball again. While the boys are down in AZ and FLA getting warmed up for this season, let's all get ourselves ready for the new season, too. Stay healthy, get some new team swag, or plan a few games in advance with someone you haven't seen in a while!

It's been a few weeks (months) since visiting and photographing at The Primavera Roadhouse, and things are going very well in my absence. Here's a shot from the Poppy Jasper Band. These guys are a lot of fun! Stay tuned, more to come :)

I was off work-work today, but as it was quite warm outside I decided to stay in to mine for a gem or two. I found this one of Sam Sotelo from last week's show at The Primavera Roadhouse. All polished up and ready to shine!

I photographed my first event in quite some time due to the current pandemic/SIP orders. It was a small gathering for a streaming show called The Primavera Roadhouse, hosted by Austin Freeman. Check it out on the youtube and donate/support what and when you can. This is a great forum for live and original music!!

Re-edit Friday yielded this gem while mining in the photo archives. The legendary bluesman Alvin Draper at the @MorganHillBluesFestival in 2018.
