Every interaction is a new opportunity to connect positively with your child. We humans behave better when we feel accepted, loved, and respected. Notice the good things your child does and remark on them: You really worked hard on that drawing, or Sharing with your sister was so nice. You made her so happy. Instead of Good job, or Good boy, keep your comments specific, positive, and genuine. Give positive touches: a stroke on the back, a hug, a kiss. I just love your hugs.
