KCHCC Business Education Foundation 26.12.2020

We would like to congratulate the 40 students who successfully completed our first virtual Energy and Agriculture Academy. 2020 has been a very unpredictable year, but we faced our challenges head on to provide an engaging and educational 2020 academy. We will hold a special drive-thru graduation this Friday. Students in the academy completed a multiple-week deep dive into Kern's most prominent industries. They learned about the history, potential career opportunities and eco...nomic importance of these two industries. The academy is hosted by the Kern County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce with presenting sponsor Chevron and the support of Bakersfield College, CRC, Aera Energy LLC and the Kern Energy Foundation. We would like to thank our guest speakers: Willie Rivera, Manager of Regulatory Affairs, Aera Energy; Richard Chapman, CEO, Kern Economic Development Corp.; Vince Fong, Assemblyman; Dana Brennan, Director of Corporate Affairs, Grimmway Farms; Ally Triolo, Founder, Farm to Fork; John Moore, Moore Farming Co. and President of Kern County Farm Bureau; Rob Duchow, Public Affairs Manager, So Cal Gas; Chad Hathaway, CEO, Hathaway LLC; Linda Parker, Principal, Linda Parker Consulting; Jessica Pineda, Talent Advisor, Wonderful Orchards; Ryan Nelson, HR Specialist, Aera Energy. A very special thank you to Lauren Skidmore and Jenifer VanAlstein! Thank you InMotionPro for this video production.
