An important message from the Kingsway Community Church Jr. High Youth Pastor: (Long, but bear with me-it's worth it!) Good morning, and happy New Year everyone! This year as Kingsway heads into a season of "Taking Ground" for Christ, our Jr. High youth group is charged full speed ahead. Last night we began a series on becoming better leaders, missionaries, and disciples. Over the next several weeks we will be studying Christ's life and ministry from the book of Luke. Did y...ou know there are several miracles and fulfilled promises of God in Luke chapter 1 ALONE? We ended a night of reading and discussion with a short video (below) and a challenge. These students may not be in a place to travel to other countries yet; some aren't even allowed to talk about Christianity at their schools. But there are so many ways they can show Christ's love to others, even if they can't mention His name. So, this week they are going to spend time being the hands and feet of Christ by spreading encouragement throughout their world. Each Jr. High student was given a packet of post-its, and will be leaving encouraging notes around their homes, schools, and other places this week. Attached is a video we watched in group, to encourage them that they have the power to make a difference- and even though an act of kindness may seem small, it can have a huge impact. Now: we want YOU to join us. If YOU would like to be a part of our "Post-It" project, send a message to Kingsway Community Church, or to myself (Chloe Aknin), and we will send you a stack of post-its to spread around your community. Please keep our small but mighty group in prayer as even one small encounter or word of encouragement can change someone's life! And please, join us!
