Judy Lariviere, M.Ed., OTR/L of Katie’s Clinic for Rett Syndrome and Related Disorders demonstrates communication and connecting strategies through fun family activities to use with your loved one with Rett syndrome while staying at home. This recorded webinar is FULL of great information and resources! Thank you Judy - we are so lucky to have you! https://youtu.be/GaMixxG94BE
For parents: Emily Holl hosted this as a webcast for me at Rettsyndromeorg last year, she's great (here's a link to the recording: https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/record/6903302842098120455)! and now she's offering this workshop for the broader special needs community to potentially startup a SibShop here locally. Are you interested in leading something like this? If so, attend the workshop! "The Taylor Family Foundation is excited to announce we will be hosting a Sibshop (sibling issues workshop and certification training) March 21st and 22nd. For those interested, visit https://ttff.org/ and sign up under the "Events" tab, or call our office at 925.455.5118 for more information."
Katie convened a little 2020 Clinic planning meeting yesterday. She wants you to know that things are looking good! We've welcomed so many new families to clinic and the Natural History Study. Dr. Mary, the clinic team and the Katie Nues Foundation remain committed partners. Our new coordinator is settling in nicely, and we wish Katie Hale, RN a peaceful maternity leave. Put August 8th on your calendar for Family Ed Day at Camp Arroyo in Livermore!
Hello all! The clinic has a new coordinator! Diane can be reached at the same number and her email is [email protected] :)
We love teens who connect with our kiddos! Simone held her 2nd annual hot chocolate stand and bake sale today for @katiesclinicforrettsyndrome @katienuesfoundation. This is so the true heart of the season! So grateful, thank you Simone and family!
