Introducing our #wecarealott project. Our clients recently purchased a property nestled among almond orchards on the outskirts of Chico and are ready to make it their dream home (insert interior designer). This full house remodel will kick off in the master bath where our main focus was space planning. In our renderings we relocated the tub and shower, added a large window for natural light, and custom reeded cabinets to reflect an elegant and refined aesthetic. Who wouldn’t want to get ready here? After a blur of consultations and site-visits last week, we celebrated this busy season with our @shoppebyko Spring Sale! We are beyond grateful to those who stopped, shopped, and sipped! As of late, we’re gravitating towards anything cream and a touch of antique brass. This floating entertainment center in our #fairwaydrive project adds a delicate depth against the smooth white walls and surrounding natural elements. To bunk or not to bunk, that is the question. Can you imagine the mischief that goes on in that top bunk? Little boys would never use permanent marker on the walls, or hide candy in the cracks to find five months later, or jump off to test their Superman skills ... right? We loved designing this double bed in white oak with horizontal shiplap to ensure the fun doesn’t end at bedtime! #katieodonnelldesigns

Transformation Thursday! The living space in our #intotheforest clubhouse remodel for Hignell Rentals was one for the books and is quickly gaining popularity among the residents. We removed walls, vaulted the ceilings, added new flooring and custom cabinets, and purchased all the furnishings. There wasn't an inch we didn't touch! We also incorporated a nano wall into the design allowing fresh air flow and natural light to beam in. *BONUS* It serves as an extension of the patio on those cooler summer nights. #katieodonnelldesigns

Hats off to everyone who has been pivoting through this past year! The pandemic has brought many challenges and celebrations. Sourcing product has been one of our biggest challenges (we are still awaiting orders from August 2020!) As KO enters the second year in business (how did that happen!) I look back and realize there is SO much to be thankful for. Starting this business definitely had it’s ups and downs, long nights, and stressful moments managing everything in between; but I couldn’t have done it without the support from my family and friends. They begged me for years to start my own organization and interior design business I finally took the leap in February 2019. Working for myself has given me the ability to set my own schedule, volunteer in my children’s classroom, work remotely, and most importantly do what makes me happy!
