Happy New Year! I’ve got some great news. It's officially time for me to take off work and welcome our little miracle into this world! We're so excited to be parents, and are truly blessed with this opportunity. As most of you know, while I'm out Alicia will be taking over fully for me. I know how much you all love her so this will be an easy transition temporarily. ... A few things of note to help make things a little easier: 1. Since our Governor still believes that salons are not "safe" to be in, we're discreetly taking clients by appointment only. So when you arrive, please park out back near TGI Fridays and send Alicia a text to let her know you've arrived. Please wait in your vehicle until she let's you know she's ready for you. 2. Due to the closure, we also cannot accept debit/credit cards at this time. Gift cards, Zelle, PayPal, Venmo, Cash and Checks will be accepted. Thank you for understanding. 3. Scheduling can still be done directly on my website, and the availability has been updated. We have an important update! Dear valued clientele, 2020 has undoubtedly been one of the most memorable years so far in my life, as is true for most of you. The good, bad, and ugly has been more dramatic and almost unimaginable. We've experienced more in this year than we experience in a typical decade. But we've also learned so much from everything that has come our way.... As you all know, I have ALWAYS put your safety and experience above all else. I want to ensure when your in my chair that you don't have a care in the world, and are able to relax fully. With all the COVID-19 rules, regulations, and changes things around the salon have looked really different lately. Although I've tried to maintain the same level of service you've come to expect, it's definitely been different. After much careful thought and consideration of the current events and what the future will hold, I have decided to move into a private suite to better serve and protect both my clientele as well as myself. Being in this environment will allow me to return things to more of a "normal" guest experience, and allow for better sanitation and disinfection procedures. With a more "one on one" experience rather than an open salon, guests can feel safer and more secure as well. When deciding to relocate, I took into consideration where most of you are located, and tried to stay as centrally located as possible. Our new suite is conveniently located at the Dos Lagos shopping center, on the North end right next door to Creme de la Creme Bakery. Perfectly situated to make your appointment as advantageous as possible with nearby shopping and dining. Thank you so much for sticking with us. Can we talk about myths for a moment?? Everyone has heard different myths, old wives tales, etc regarding what is best for your hair. Some are just plain ridiculous but some have somehow stood the test of time as far as myths go. So let's debunk the MOST common one we hear all the time, that is also the most damaging to your appointment.... "Dirty hair is better. It takes color better. It protects better.... etc" Let's start from the beginning. Without getting into why this is such a bad idea, Let's address the elephant in the room. NO ONE would prefer to touch and handle dirty, sweaty hair rather than clean hair. It's just not desirable. Now then, from a hairdressers standpoint, here's why it's so critical to come to your appointment with CLEAN, DRY hair. When applying color, the color has to penetrate the cuticle in order to deposit color. So if your hair is dirty, or has dry shampoo etc in it, the color has to first breakthrough everything on the cuticle before it can penetrate. So the result will likely be uneven or patchy, especially when it comes to grey coverage. When performing a lightening service, a chemical reaction can occur and actually cause irreparable damage to the hair. Moral of the story, PLEASE wash and dry your hair prior to your chemical services. I'm excited to share an update! Dear friends and family, As of today, August 31st, we are officially reopening! ... I know the last several months have been stressful and unpredictable on so many levels. We've all had to make sacrifices and become more flexible than ever. We've learned compassion and understanding for each other in ways we never imagined. But we stood strong, and we'll continue to thrive - together! I miss all of you so very much, and cannot wait to see you again. For those of you that haven't heard my personal exciting news yet, my husband and I are expecting!!! We are so blessed to be welcoming a baby girl in January. What this means for all of you is, that I will be continuing to book all of your appointments personally through the end of December. In January, I will assess when it's time to take leave. When that happens, my phenomenal assistant Alicia, whom most of you have met and fallen in love with, will be taking over for me while I'm off. Rest assured she has all of your color formulas and notes and will seamlessly guide you through your appointment. A few things to remember when coming to your appointment: If you have a fever, cough, or cold PLEASE contact me to reschedule. If you show up symptomatic, you will be sent home. Masks must be worn throughout the entire appointment. This assures the safety of both you and I as well as other patrons. We will be doing temperature checks at arrival to ensure everyone's well being. At this time, no guests will be permitted to accompany you to an appointment. Please make arrangements ahead of time for childcare. If multiple people within your party are being serviced, you will be rotated in one at a time. I know this is all been quite a bit of an adjustment, but we'll make it through this with a positive outlook on what 2021 has to offer us.
