PLEASE READ THIS ARTICLE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE PATH ACT THAT EFFECTS ALL TAXPAYERS WITH EITC OR ACTC (DEPENDENTS) ON THEIR RETURNS The IRS anticipates a first week of March refund for many EITC and ACTC taxpayers if they file electronically with direct deposit and there are no issues with their tax returns. This would be the same experience for taxpayers if the filing season opened in late January. Taxpayers will need to check Where's My Refund for their personalized refund date.

Good morning Ka$h Indeed clients I would like to inform you of the updated information I received from EPS Financial in regards to the Stimulus Payment. Important information regarding Economic Impact Payments (EIP): The IRS will be issuing Economic Impact payments directly to individuals and not to temporary accounts for bank products. If the IRS inadvertently sent your EIP payment to the temporary bank account at EPS, this payment has been returned to the IRS to be distributed directly to you.... Neither your tax preparer nor EPS have access to this payment or any information regarding it. Neither your tax preparer nor EPS can update your disbursement information. All questions regarding your EIP need to be directed to the IRS. MetaBank Statement regarding Economic Impact Payments and Tax Solutions April 16, 2020 This week, MetaBank learned that the IRS is inadvertently distributing some Economic Impact Payments (EIPs) to consumers’ temporary bank accounts with our tax division EPS Financial. It was an error to send these EIPs to these accounts. The IRS has not explained to us why this error occurred. These accounts managed by EPS Financial tax solution only process standard tax refunds owed to taxpayers as a result of a tax filing. As we are required, for EIPs sent to these accounts, upon receipt, MetaBank is immediately sending these EIP payments back to the IRS so that the IRS can distribute directly to consumers. We are deeply concerned that this error will delay consumers from receiving EIP payments during this difficult time. MetaBank is working closely with our tax refund partners to ensure that they redirect customers to the IRS. As we are expeditiously sending EIP payments back to the IRS, we encourage impacted consumers to contact the IRS directly with questions or for further details.
