What does it mean to lead in a "feminine" way? For the last 14 months, I've had the privilege of exploring that question with the powerhouses shown below. Last night I got a chance to lead this group through my "Life On Purpose" workshop and what ensued was sheer magic. ... This weekend I had the privilege of teaching a workshop on Self Care to the Rising Fellows cohort of @tfabayarea This is my third year working with them and I seriously look forward to this engagement every year. . Teachers are some of the best humans on this planet so it’s a gift to be able to share essential coaching tools to a group that gives back continuously in their day to day . The word Self Care is so trendy right now but most people use it to justify their Netf...lix binges, wine nights and bubble baths. Don’t get me wrong, I love ALL of those things, but you’re missing the point if that’s all you’re doing. . Ignoring your physical, emotional, mental or social needs you are playing the short game. Giving without replenishing is the same as continuously withdrawing from the bank. You may be able to get away with it for awhile but eventually it’ll catch up to you. . Creating healthy boundaries is a practice and a hard one at that. It’s uncomfortable for most of us to say no when we’re trained to say yes. It’s hard to disappoint others but what I know that for sure is that there is a different energy that comes from giving time, energy, resources to others from a place of joy vs. a place of obligation, depletion etc. . Self Care can be as simple as asking yourself what your feeling. Checking in and reconnecting to your basic needs instead of constantly operating on auto-pilot. . If you feel like you’re starting off 2019 from a place of empty and want something different for yourself this year, let’s talk. If you have a dear friend in that position, introduce us.
